The Prescott-Russell Community Services Foundation is managed by a board of seven directors.

Denis Paquette

Chairman

Denis Paquette - Chairman

Denis has been sharing his enthusiasm and wealth of experience as a Director of the Board of Director since 2019. He served as Secretary-Treasurer from 2019 to 2021 and has been Chairman since
2021.

“I was a volunteer driver for Prescott-Russell Community Services (PRCS) for 10 years, and I’ve seen how this service really helps people. Today, I’m getting involved in a different way, by raising funds so that PRCS can continue to carry out their mission and ensure
that we live in an age-friendly community.”

Denis had a 35-year career in education. He was a teacher, special education teacher, guidance counsellor and educational consultant. His retirement was rather active as he spent 10 years as a customer service agent at Dupuis Ford Lincoln and Lafleur Funeral Home in Casselman.

Volunteering is an integral part of his life, and he has been giving generously of his time to help his community since 1972. He was an active member of social clubs, including the Knights of Columbus, two Optimist clubs and the Casselman Richelieu Club. In addition, he has coordinated or contributed to the activities of pastoral and liturgy committees; the Saint-Jean Baptiste celebration in Casselman; the Mustang Poker Run; as well as
the Food Bank during the ice storm, Meals on Wheels and Comptoir Populaire Deguire in Casselman.

Denis has also served on the boards of the Casselman Public Library, Our House in Hawkesbury and Prescott-Russell Victim Services.

Jeanne Charlebois

Vice President

Jeanne Charlebois - Vice President

Jeanne joined the Foundation’s Board in 2020, and is the Treasurer since 2023.

“Prescott-Russell Community Services offers a range of services to seniors and others living in the communities of our region. It’s a privilege to work with the team at this agency.”

Jeanne has been involved in the municipal sector since 1975. She was the Clerk-Treasurer at Longueuil Township for nearly 20 years, and was Assistant Clerk-Treasurer and Economic Development Officer at Champlain Township from 1998 to 2006. She then entered politics. Jeanne was mayor of the Town of Hawkesbury for two terms between 2006 and 2018, and has been sitting as a municipal councillor since 2022.

A long-time volunteer, Jeanne also sits on the boards of Prescott-Russell Community Services and the Hawkesbury Central Food Bank. She also donates her time to the Palliative Care Program at the Hawkesbury and District General Hospital. She is a founding member of the organization Leadership féminin de Prescott-Russell. Over the years, she has served on the boards of Maison Interlude, Dames auxiliaires de la Résidence Prescott-Russell, Centre culturel Le Chenail and the Police Services Board for the Town of Hawkesbury.

François Brisson

Secretary-Treasurer

François Brisson - Secretary-Treasurer

François has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2020 and Secretary-Treasurer since 2023.

“I love helping people and I know just how great the needs are in our region. That’s the reason why I volunteer at the Prescott-Russell Community Services Foundation.”

Now retired, François worked for 38 years in the administrative sector of the Conseil scolaire de Prescott-Russell. He was attached to Casselman and Embrun high schools.

Strongly committed to his community, François was president of the Casselman Minor Hockey Association for ten years and also coached teams from Novice to Bantam levels. He also served two terms as municipal councillor for the Village of Casselman, and 16
years on the Casselman Hydro Commission.

Carole Chartrand

Director

Carole Chartrand - Director

Carole has been a member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors since 2022, and is very familiar with our mission, having volunteered at raffle ticket sales for many years.

“Over the years, due to health problems, I have used the services provided by Prescott-Russell Community Services (PRCS) on several occasions. Now, volunteering my time is my way of giving back to the community.”

Carole also helps the PRCS by making phone calls and volunteering during congregate dining events. She has also been a member of the Board of Directors of the Clinique juridique de Prescott et Russell since 2006. In both roles, the organizations benefit
from the customer perspective that she brings.
