Transportation Services
Do you need transportation to get to the doctor or for grocery shopping?
We provide transportation services for people aged 55+ and adults with special needs (mobility issues, chronic illness, etc.) living in the Prescott-Russell region.
We offer several types of transportation services to meet your different needs.
- Transportation for medical appointments: doctor, chiropractor, optometrist, dentist, etc.
- Transportation for shopping: grocery, pharmacy and other basic needs (reserved for 55+)
- Paratransit with assistance service for people in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility
- Transportation for other needs upon approval by your coordinator
What are the fees for transportation services and how do I pay them?
Fees apply to all types of transportation and are calculated based on the number of kilometres.
- As a client, you are responsible for paying any parking fees – directly at the parking pay station or to the parking operator.
- We will send you an invoice for transportation services at the end of the month. You can pay your invoice by cheque or e-transfer.
- Drivers do not write invoices and they do not accept payment for transporation services.
How do I book a transportation service?
You must be registered as a client before you can book transportation. To register, call 613-632-0939 or toll-free at 1-800-267-0853.
- We recommend that you book your transportation as early as possible so we have enough time to make proper arrangements.
- You can book weeks or even months in advance if you already know the date of a future medical appointment.
Booking
You can call your coordinator or use our convenient online form.
Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Requests received after office hours will be answered on the next business day.
- If you use the online form, you will receive a confirmation email with details of your booking after we have made arrangements with a driver.

Do you enjoy being on the road, meeting and helping people? We’re always in need of volunteers to drive our clients to medical appointments or to go shopping.
