Personal Support Worker
Prescott and Russell Community Services is looking for Personal Support Workers (PSW) for the expansion of the assisted living service
Part-time positions (day, evening and weekend shifts)
Reporting to the Executive Director, PSW of the Assisted Living Service is responsible for providing person-centered home support and personal care services to frail seniors, so that they can remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible.
Main functions:
- Provide basic hygienic practices and apply the principles of body mechanics
- Assist with personal care such as, but not limited to, bathing, dressing, transferring, walking, grooming, and bedside care as needed
- Assist with basic activities of daily living, supporting the safety of clients and oneself
- Supervise activities of daily living
- Perform housekeeping tasks
Requirements:
- Hold a high school diploma
- Training as a Personal Support worker
- Experience in a similar position is an asset
- Recent CPR will be an asset
- Reliability, autonomy, respect, discretion, empathy and active listening
- Bilingual
- Must own a car and a valid driver’s license
Place of work:
- Main office in Hawkesbury with services provided at customers’ homes
Conditions:
- Criminal record check – vulnerable sector, dated within the last 6 months
- Salary: $20.29 to $26.01 per hour, as per the collective agreement
- Start date: as soon as possible

Job Description
Prescott-Russell Community Services is seeking a passionate and motivated Assistant Cook to join its dynamic team. Under the supervision of the Cook, the Executive Director, and Administration, you will take part in meal preparation for our clients, ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance with hygiene and food safety standards.
As an Assistant Cook, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the cook in managing food preparation, cooking, and plating while meeting service deadlines.
- Ensuring that equipment and food are handled in accordance with hygiene rules.
- Complying at all times with the establishment’s hygiene, safety, and quality standards.
- Supporting smooth and efficient kitchen operations during service.
- Maintaining an up-to-date food inventory and properly storing all products.
- Rotating stock according to best practices.
Profile Sought
- High school diploma.
- Significant experience in cooking.
- Holds a Ministry of Health certification (Ontario Public Health Unit).
- Strong knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills, speed, and attention to detail.
- Team spirit, positive attitude, and reliability.
- Functional bilingualism (French and English) — an asset.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.

Coordinator
Community Lunch Program Coordinator – Prescott-Russell Region
Full-Time Position – 30 hours/week
Unionized Position
Indefinite Term – Medical Leave Replacement
Community Services of Prescott and Russell provides services to individuals and groups living in Prescott and Russell who require assistance to function independently or to remain in their community in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the Community Lunch Program throughout the Prescott-Russell region.
- Book venues and coordinate all event logistics.
- Organize presentations, workshops, and activities for participants.
- Receive participant registrations and complete all required follow-up.
- Enter program data and prepare required program statistics and reports.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and support volunteers during community lunches and activities.
- Conduct surveys and assess participant needs to continuously improve and adapt the program.
- Promote the Community Lunch Program to encourage participation and attract new attendees.
Education and Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Postsecondary education in recreation, community development, social work, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to facilitate groups in a dynamic and inclusive manner.
- Ability to create a warm, welcoming, and engaging environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Creative thinker with the ability to develop activities and introduce new ideas.
- Positive leadership skills and the ability to motivate and engage participants.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent command of both official languages (English and French), written and spoken.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check issued within the last six (6) months.
Work Location
- Hawkesbury, Ontario, with travel throughout the Prescott-Russell region.
Employment Conditions
- Start Date: As soon as possible.
- Salary: In accordance with the collective agreement.
